The product, applications and properties

The company designs and manufactures a range of recycled glass products including wall and floor coverings, architectural decorative glass and glass for lighting.

Our products are made from glass recovered from household and commercial waste.

The process involves transforming waste glass first to cullet and then thermally forming the cullet to glass products.

Finishing processes such as cutting, edge polishing, fusing and kiln
forming, sand blasting, laminating and decorative processes are carried out to render the material suitable for a variety of applications.

Applications

• Wall and floor coverings - tiles and slabs.

• Kitchen and bathroom surfaces - table tops, counter tops, worktops, sink tops, back splashes.

• Interior and exterior glazing - façade cladding, glass partitions and screens.

• Lighting and luminaires - lamp shades, light diffusers, light features.

• Art and design - incorporation of logos and motifs for commercial and artistic purposes.

Properties

Dimensions:
100 x 100 x 6 mm to 1200 x 800 x 25 mm
Non-standard dimensions to order.

Surface characteristics:
Matt to glossy, smooth to textured in accordance with clients' specifications and application.

Colour:
Basic colours white, amber, green, blue plus blends
e.g. translucent to opaque white, pale to medium ambers, pale greens and pale blues or special blends to clients' specification.

Edge finish:
Diamond clean cut, bevelled and/or polished.

Hardness and durability*:
The glass is extremely hard, resistant to abrasion and scratch resistant.

Chemical resistance*:
Resistant to most acids and alkaline. Resistant to solvents.

Temperature tolerance:
Withstands frost and temperatures up to 200°c. Not suitable in applications where sudden large temperature changes occur.
